Here we go again! We will be building a Respectfully Built, new construction, 2-story home on the SE corner of Ovid and Johnson Sts! Target completion date – FALL 2025!
In the last few years, we’ve had a number of young families get in touch, wanting to move into the First Ward, and into a larger home for their growing families. We’ve also had calls from folks who need a couple more bedrooms to use as offices as they’re now working from home a few days a week, or some, permanently.
So, we got to work designing floor plans for a family friendly, open plan, 2-story home that will hopefully meet the many needs of a home and family in today’s world! This CORNER lot home will have 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and 3 generous sized porches! There will be a bedroom with an en-suite bath on the first floor – super convenient for visiting friends or family.
Upstairs, there is a game room / flex space – perfect for the kids when they have their friends over for sleepovers, or for family movie nights. The laundry room is also on the second floor – super convenient!
On the exterior of the property, there will be a 2-car carport – park your cars, throw a crawfish boil, start a woodworking project – a flexible space whatever your needs may be! There will also be large yard – perfect for a pool, pets and parties!
We are super excited to show this home off and eventually welcome a new family to First Ward!
Additionally, this 1500 block of Ovid is protected by a City of Houston Minimum Lot Size Ordinance that prevents the sub-division of lots, keeping all the single family homes on this block intact!
