Say hello to 1513 Ovid! Located on a block with all its historic homes intact, she is going to be another wonderful, restored old home in the First Ward. We’re super excited to get to work – restoring and adding-on – and getting her ready for her new family!
The very original sf of the home is about 575 sf. Over the years, there have been a number of additions, and she currently sits at about 1,300 sf. We will be tearing down all of the poorly built additions, and rebuilding and putting on a new addition! This will take her to 1,750 sf with 4 beds and 2.5 baths, on a full sized 5,000 sf lot. We will also be building a 2-car porte-cochere!
This old girl comes with original wood windows and wood floors in the original part of the home – which will get the Respectfully Restored treatment. There are also 2 front doors – which we will maintain – one door will now serve as entry into the home and the other door leads into a guest bedroom / office / workspace – handy if you’re working from home!
Bonus – the 1500 block of Ovid St is protected by a City of Houston Minimum Lot Size Ordinance that prevents the sub-division of lots!
