Say hello to 1513 Ovid! Built c. late 1870s, this Gulf Coast Cottage is located on a block with all its historic homes intact and is another wonderful old house in the First Ward. This home has now been Respectfully Restored and Respectfully Added-On to and ready to welcome her new family!

The original size of this home was about 575 sf. Over the years, there were numerous additions put on her – she was about 1,300 sf at the time of our purchase. We tore down all of those poorly built additions, and have put up our own addition! 1513 Ovid now sits tall and proud at 1,750 sf with 4 beds / 2.5 baths, on a full sized 5,000 sf intermediate lot. There is also an attached 2-car porte-cochere with side-by-side (not tandem) parking!

This old girl comes with 6-over 6 wood windows and solid wood tongue-and-groove boards in the original part of the home. The latter has been left exposed in the ceiling of one of the original rooms. We have also kept the 2 front doors (they were there when we bought the property).
